Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1


    Welcome to Sri Lanka, sunny beach, Negembo sweeping coast line, in the evening group meeting.

    Overnight: Negembo

  • Day 2


    After having the breakfast we drive Negembo fish markets and to Anuradhapura on the way we stop at a coconut plantation, to taste local toddy, later in the evening we rock n roll with street food.

    Overnight: Anuradhapura

  • Day 3


    Cycle the ancient site at Anuradhapura, is the first capital in the 3rd Cen and there are many places to see and feel about it. Bo tree a living tree more than 23oo years, twin ponds, Jetavanaramaya Stupas, Dagabas, Elephant pond, moon stones ect. Late evening we visit a srilankan family to experience the lake fish dishes…cooked in local styles.

    Overnight: Anuradhapura

  • Day 4


    Take the public bus to Dambulla, enjoy a hike to the Dambulla Cave temple, more than 150 statues, beautiful views, paintings inside the caves, some are 1st Cen BEC and some our 18Th and 19th cen.Visit a local vegetable markets. Late evening have a go with hotel experience of varies of foods.

  • Day 5


    After having Srilankan breakfast we drive to Kandy is our last capital, in the hills 500m above sea level. On the way at Matale we stop to see the spices garden and have a beautiful delicious food with the local grown spices, Kandy temple of the tooth, kandyan dance show in the evening.

  • Day 6


    In the morning we visit the Kandy most beautiful city, with lots of varieties, of fruits, vegetable markets, fish and so, So we have a visit and see what’s happing in the Kandy local markets...There are few viewpoints that you can explore yourself. In the evening we visit one of the families to cook and taste the kandyan style of string hoppers and gravy curry.

  • Day 7


    After having the breakfast, come to Kandy railway station to experience the beautiful train journey in your life time. Beautiful views, waterfalls, mountains and if it is clear you can see the Adam’s peak as well, In the evening we visit a sinhless family to have a great touch with Sri Lankan Rice and curry in many ways. Have you tried Jak or Brinjal in Srilankan style?

    Overnight: Haputale or Beragala

  • Day 8


    Hill country is famous for tea, our life is bound with tea, why not today we visit a tea factory and learn how they manufacture tea, and if we have a chance we can taste as well, afterwards we back to Tamil village and join with them for the Srilankan style of Tamil food, Yummy, Late evening to digest you have a nice walk through the tea plantation if weather is great. Otherwise you have a nice relax evening.

    Overnight: Haputale or Beragala

  • Day 9


    Today exiting day for you as you are going to see the baby elephants, they are 1 to 7 years old and see how they drink milk and enjoy themselves, Everyone loves elephants, but every elephants love to be in their home, Afterwards drive to Mirissa

    Overnight: Mirissa

  • Day 10


    Have a relax day and chose a time to have a sea food lessons and enjoy with a drink at the beautiful beach.

  • Day 11


    After having nice breakfast drive to Galle, on the way we see the stilt fishermen, and visit the Galle fort, have a walk and feel the colonial atmosphere in Srilankan style and have lunch at Galle, drive to Colombo evening a city tour.

    Overnight: Colombo

  • Day 12


    Departure. In many ways you can say Good bye, but with a tear drop you can say good bye to our country, for another visit with lots of food.
